The US is warning Yemen’s Houthi rebels they risk military strikes if they continue to attack cargo ships in the Red Sea, as escalating tensions across the Middle East fuel fears of a wider regional war.
Australia joined the US and 11 other countries on Thursday to condemn the “illegal, unacceptable, and profoundly destabilising” attacks that have disrupted global trade.
