Setting up a business as a woman in your late 40s or 50s is no mean feat. It requires a huge amount of energy and risk, and raising capital as a female founder can be challenging, to say the least.

But it all can be done. And women who have established their own businesses later in life say the experience, skills, networks and maturity they have acquired during their careers is invaluable.
