London | Britain’s Prime Minister Liz Truss on Monday night (Tuesday AEDT) apologised for policy “mistakes” that spooked markets and set her popularity plunging, but said she would not step down.
“I do want to accept responsibility and say sorry for the mistakes that have been made,” Ms Truss told the BBC, adding later: “I’m sticking around because I was elected to deliver for this country.
