Australia’s biggest companies show no sign of pulling back on their diversity initiatives in 2025, despite reports of building resistance to workplace programs aimed at creating an even playing field and a retreat by major US companies.

But while human resources directors at the likes of Telstra, Westpac, stock exchange operator ASX and accounting software specialist Xero may see no need to revisit their diversity policies, they have plenty on this year’s to-do list.
