One Nation demands faster path to permanent employment for casuals

One Nation will demand that casuals can shift to permanent employment sooner under the government’s industrial relations reforms, in a proposal that could expand the scope of the conversion mechanism to labour-hire firms.

The party, which proposed a dozen amendments to the bill on Monday, controls two of the three crucial votes the Coalition needs to pass its legislation, which is listed for debate on Tuesday and expected to go a vote by the end of the week.
