NSW Labor just quietly added this regulation on monitoring workers

Unions would have the right to enter workplaces and lift the hood on employers’ artificial intelligence systems to ensure they are not being used to track performance in an “unreasonable” way, under the country’s first express regulation of AI that has been quietly added to proposed legislation in NSW.

Business has responded with surprise to proposed powers the Minns Labor government included in a workers’ compensation bill introduced to state parliament on Wednesday and say they were not consulted or notified about the changes.
