A lightbulb moment for Profusion Group managing director Simone Mears was when she realised leave policies that were the same for women and men were inequitable.

The recruitment firm is a finalist in the 2025 Financial Review BOSS Best Places to Work in the legal, advisory and professional services category for its leave policy, Reproduction Plus. The policy gives staff 10 annual, non-cumulative, reproductive-related health and wellbeing leave days.
