The federal government agency where one in two public servants never go to the office has doubled down on its strategy for remote work, arguing that multiple offices outside of Sydney would be a waste of taxpayers’ money.
Figures from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner show it had the highest proportion of staff working remotely full-time across the bureaucracy in 2024, at 50 per cent.
