Children learn just as fast, and sometimes faster, in co-educational schools compared to single-sex schools, according to a new study by the Australian Council for Educational Research (ACER).
Analysis of NAPLAN data found that the rate at which numeracy skills were acquired increased at a very similar rate from year 3 to year 7 in three types of schools – boys only schools, girls only schools and co-educational schools.
