NAPLAN tests show little significant improvement in school performance

Australian school children continue to mark time in literacy and numeracy with the latest NAPLAN test results showing no statistically significant improvement in the past year in any test skill across the country.

The results, released on Wednesday, also show that improvement in student performance since the NAPLAN test began in 2008 is very patchy with some improvement in primary years but no improvement among children in high school.
