When Peter and Rebecca Hull signed the lease on their first gym in 2013, a “tin shed” whose equipment was financed by Rebecca selling her Toyota Corolla for $18,000, international expansion was the furthest thing from their minds.

“It was local first, that’s for sure,” chuckles Peter, a former personal trainer, reflecting on the subsequent four-year grind in which he and wife Rebecca’s Fitstop empire grew from one gymnasium to ... two.
