It’s been said, more than once over the course of the past year, that universities are in the midst of once-in-a-lifetime upheaval. The disruptions are coming from all angles.
The recent universities accord seeks to double the number of university students by 2050 to 1.8 million – or 55 per cent of people under the age of 35. It will need to dramatically increase the number of non-traditional students to achieve that goal, fundamentally changing decades-old practices around how – and why – students learn.
