The universities accord is like one giant déjà vu

The report has big ambitions. So did the 2008 Bradley review. They are not too dissimilar in scope and intent.

Maybe I’ve been around too long. But reading the universities accord is like experiencing one giant déjà vu.

It is fundamentally a remake of the Bradley review, circa 2008, which was commissioned by then education minister Julia Gillard to drive up the number of people going to university and also lift participation rates of people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
