Self-managed superannuation fund trustees have been given some interesting findings in research by the University of Adelaide’s International Centre for Financial Services.
The study found that home market bias, limited international diversification, and the drag of small SMSFs were the key drivers of SMSF underperformance compared to APRA-regulated funds in the 2022-23 fiscal year.
