How budget changes will affect your SMSF

While there is cause for celebration, none of the proposals are set to start until July 2022 so could well become election issues.

A swag of generally positive super changes announced in this week’s federal budget have one thing in common – they won’t happen until after July 2022.

This absence of immediacy suggests they could very likely take effect after the next federal election should this be called early (before mid-2022) by the Morrison government and that some could even become election issues if there is the slightest suggestion Labor might oppose them.
