US venture capital investors have made an aggressive return to the Australian market, with Insight Partners injecting $US50 million ($78.6 million) into a software business, Roller.

Founded by Melbourne brothers Luke and Mark Finn in 2011, Roller, which has early backers such as former Telstra chairman John Mullen and Star Entertainment chief executive Robbie Cooke, makes software that manages the operations of more than 1500 leisure and attraction venues globally.
