US-based Battle Mountain Gold Company has declared final approval for the $40 million capital development program of the high grade Vera-Nancy project near its Pajingo mine in Queensland.

BMG chairman, Karl E. Elers, speaking before the Mining Investment Forum in Denver, said mining of the small Vera open pit was now under way and ore was being stockpiled.
