China and climate change are the two greatest existential threats to Australia’s national security, both of which will require sensitive diplomatic interventions with the Asia Pacific region, says former attorney-general George Brandis.
“China is without doubt the most challenging national security issue confronting Australia,” said Mr Brandis, who this week was appointed a professor of practice in national security at Australian National University.
