The price of going to the movies, getting a haircut and visiting the dentist for a check-up is not only rising rapidly, but these three services also share the unwelcome honour of being among the areas where inflation is still increasing.

Everyday activities such as these are among the 31 common household purchases where year-ended inflation rose between December 2023 and March 2024, according to analysis by The Australian Financial Review.
