Global experience says a two-tiered RBA board is better

The Reserve Bank needs inside experts to decide monetary policy and well-credentialed outsiders to help supervise a very complex organisation.

The review into the Reserve Bank of Australia will be delivered to the Treasurer by the end of this month. This is a once in a generation opportunity to ensure that this important institution has the best operating framework.
