ASX to slip as investors brace for big week in markets

Investors are bracing for a week of corporate earnings, a US Federal Reserve board meeting and a key quarterly inflation report that risks triggering a sell-off in the sharemarket that is near record levels.

Futures on the ASX point to a five-point fall at the open on Monday to 8626, as the local equity market shrugs off another strong lead from Wall Street where the S&P 500 Index reset its record high for a fifth day in a row.
