High-intensity interval training three times a week can improve brain function in people 65 to 85 – and the benefits last up to five years, new research from the Queensland Brain Institute has found.

University of Queensland neuroscientist Perry Bartlett said he and colleagues wanted to identify the “sweet spot” for the type of exercise that delivered the best cognitive benefits.
