Rare treat for meat lovers as Swedish king of steaks heads Down Under
The Melbourne diner Meatmaiden is joining forces with Johan Jureskog and his team from the world’s ninth-best steak restaurant for a three-night tour de force.
Johan Jureskog is the wearer of many hats: celebrity TV chef and restaurateur, meat sommelier, culinary Olympian, and Sweden’s burger king, barbecue grill ambassador and seller of a supermarket line of sauces.
Not one to miss an opportunity, when we meet online he is, in fact, wearing a hat: a peaked cap sporting the stitched letters “AG”. The headgear is spruiking his celebrated Stockholm steakhouse Restaurant AG, no. 9 on the World’s 101 Best Steak Restaurants list.
