Extending life has become increasingly mainstream. From billionaire venture capitalist Peter Thiel to entrepreneur Bryan Johnson, eking out a few more years has become big business. There is even a show – the Nine Network’s Do You Want to Live Forever? – hosted by Tracy Grimshaw and Nick Coatsworth.

Three athletes from Sydney’s north have been trying to catch that wave with an app that aggregates wearable technology data with lifestyle information to estimate life expectancy and suggests ways of lengthening it.
