Cobalt scare campaign fails to derail Jervois bid for US mine

Melbourne-based Jervois Mining appears to have overcome a scare campaign linking it to Chinese interests that threatened to derail its acquisition of the only known cobalt deposit in the United States.
Shareholders in Vancouver-based eCobalt voted in favour of a merger with Jervois on Friday despite efforts by spurned suitor First Cobalt to stop the deal.
