Australia’s cinema industry is focused on reaping the benefit of a steady line-up of blockbusters, but is worried a northern hemisphere lockdown could evaporate that supply, leaving Australians now out of lockdown without a reason to go to the movies.

Since COVID-19 lockdowns eased in NSW and Victoria, Australians have been spoilt for choice, with Daniel Craig’s final outing as James Bond in No Time To Die, Marvel’s Eternals and science fiction epic Dune helping lure the public back to the cinema.
