Carsales’ Placie wants to disrupt transport industry
Ride-share and taxi aggregation app Placie is seeking to disrupt the transport industry and become a one-stop shop for all consumer travel needs, from answering whether a taxi is faster than a train to eventually offering parking information.
The app, which is majority owned by Carsales and developed in Australia, positions itself as a one-stop transport app that it says saves time, money and effort for consumers by using real-time data to schedule and book journeys via one account, including the ability to plan trips using multiple modes of transport.
