Adelaide media personality Max Burford tied the knot with longtime love Eliza Hodgson in the Adelaide Hills on Saturday.
The Channel 10 sports and Mix 102.3 breakfast presenter and Ms Hodgson, who wore a couture+love+madness dress, exchanged vows at Glen Leah Homestead in front of about 140 family and friends.
“They say good things come to those who wait. Well about 30 years of waiting is probably enough time to test that theory out I reckon,” Burford said.
“I’m very lucky Eliza has hung around long enough to get to this day. Someone with less patience might have waved the white flag after nine years without a ring. But we always seem to be on the same page. Also, biased opinion, but she’s a stunning bride.”
“It’s a joy to just spend a day with all of our family and friends, regardless of the occasion,” Burford said.
“They’ve come from country towns, interstate, England, Canada and everywhere in between. We’re both extremely grateful.”
The couple, who have been dating for a decade, have known each other since childhood. Their parents grew up together.
Burford proposed while on holiday in Port Douglas in 2021, and they now plan to honeymoon in Bali.
