The Entrance Hotel

Contemporary$$

The entrance to Tuggerah Lake is a stunning sight, and the alfresco dining area is right on the promenade, with all the atmosphere of a family holiday destination. The menu is extensive and multicultural: along with the usual Aussie fare from the grill and the sea are a slow cooked Moroccan tagine lamb shank and crisp pork belly with plum sauce. This tight ship of a kitchen sends out dishes ranging from a hearty Guinness pie with mashed potato and smashed peas to a lighter Atlantic salmon with a vermicelli salad. The sticky date pudding is a must.
