Gorkha Palace
Nepalese$$
There's definitely a sense of the festive as you step into this family-run restaurant with Buddhist details, photos of the Himalayas and prayer flags providing an exotic touch which, naturally, extends to the menu. Get a taste of the house specialities by sharing a mixed entree platter between two, then select from an extensive range of curries and stir-fries. The meat in subtly spiced goat curry falls easily off the bone, while a chilli chicken dish hints at Chinese influences. The popular upstairs cushion room is used for festivals and functions, so it's no wonder there's always a party on.
