A Toowoomba Magistrate has been updated on the case of Isaac Zane Cubby who is accused of killing photographer Robert Brown at Grand Central Shopping Centre in February.

On Friday, September 8, the court heard police prosecution’s brief of evidence was so large, that a third party was still organising the information for Mr Cubby’s legal team.

Solicitor Ryan McCullough said his team was yet to view the large brief of evidence as the third-party company Law and Order was still compiling all the information.

The MacDonald Law lawyer asked for the case to be mentioned in a number of weeks so his team had time to review the brief before the case was next before the court.

Acting magistrate Rowan Silva set the case down to be mentioned on October 16.

Police charged the 18-year-old with murder, and 23 other crimes, following the death of the 75-year-old.

Police claim Mr Brown was waiting for a taxi when he was allegedly pushed from behind by the teenager, who then stole the man’s bag and fled in a stolen car.

In August, the court heard barrister Stephen Kissick was briefed on the case in preparation for its move to a higher court.
