Toowoomba, Murphys Creek crashes add to horror weekend on Qld roads

Emergency services have been called to a number of crashes across the Toowoomba region.
A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said a person was taken to Toowoomba Hospital after their motorcycle crashed on Kherim Rd in Murphys Creek about noon on Sunday, July 20.
Less than an hour later, paramedics were called to another single-vehicle crash, this time in Harristown, Toowoomba, on an Anzac Ave roundabout.
The QAS spokesman said paramedics on the scene assessed a number of teenagers.
First responders have faced a horrific weekend on Queensland roads with a number of fatalities occurring.
On Saturday afternoon, a Mackay man was killed in a motorbike crash at Mount Pleasant, about 12 hours after three teenagers were killed along the same stretch of highway.
The tragedy continued on Sunday after four people were killed in a two-vehicle crash on the Capricorn Highway between Comet and Blackwater.
So far in 2025, the number of fatalities on Queensland roads has surpassed 129.
