A 16-year-old boy arrested at a country Queensland rugby league match will face court later this month.
Queensland Police Service were called to Rowden Park, home of St George Saints, on Saturday July 19 following reports of an alleged verbal altercation at the rugby league ground.
“Officers were called to a sportsground on Victoria Street around 12.20pm Saturday, following an alleged verbal altercation between two people,” a Queensland Police Service spokesperson said.
“A 16-year-old boy was taken into custody at the scene and charged with one count of public nuisance.”
It is understood by this masthead that the match being played at the time was called off following the alleged incident.
The boy is due to appear in St George Children’s Court on July 28.
