We are now into the business end of the 2024 AFLQ Darling Downs season and with the pressure at its highest, superstar performances from key players have never been more important.

Check out the best players from round 12 below.

George Wren (Coolaroo under-12)

Wren put on a show as he kicked four of the Roos’ nine goals to help his side claim an impressive 62-point win.

Patrick Murrie (Coolaroo under-12)

Murrie and Wren formed a scintillating combo in the forward line as Murrie kicked three goals for the contest.

He also featured in his side’s best players after a sensational display

Xavier Durisotti (Coolaroo under-12)

Durisotti was the catalyst for Coolaroo as he earned best on ground honours in their dominant victory over the Tigers.

James Packer (South Burnett men)

Packer was one of the bright lights in a tough clash for the Saints as he was named in South Burnett’s best players and also chipped in with a goal.

Harry Claydon (Coolaroo men)

Claydon was a standout performer for Coolaroo, named best on ground and kicking a goal.

Connor Lloyd, Cameron Percival and Jayden Smith (Coolaroo men)

In a testament to the versatility of attacking options, Lloyd, Percival and Smith were the leading goalkickers for the clash with South Burnett despite kicking just two goals each.

Rohan Drummond (Tigers men)

Drummond continues to prove why he is one of the leading key forwards in the competition as he put on a show in the Tigers gutsy win over South Toowoomba.

Liam Tyson (Tigers men)

Liam Tyson provided strong support for Drummond as he booted two majors and also earned a best players nod.

Chris Turpin (Tigers men)

Despite not having a direct impact on the scoreboard, Turpin put in an electric performance and he was recognised for his efforts by being named as best on ground for the Tigers.

Andrew Pepper (South Toowoomba men)

While it wasn’t the result they would have hoped for, the class of Andrew Pepper was on full display as he kicked two goals and was named in the Bombers’ best in their six-goal loss to Toowoomba.

Matthew Lather (Hawks men)

In a low scoring contest between Goondiwindi and Warwick, Lather led the way for Goondiwindi with two goals in his side’s 54-15 win.

Caitlin Hill (Hawks women)

When the game was there for the taking, Hill rose to the occasion with two goals to help the Hawks claim a hard-fought 24-2 win over Coolaroo to stay within striking distance of the top two.

Christina Ash (Hawks women)

Ash kicked one of the three goals of the game for Goondiwindi.

Courtney Browne (Tigers women)

The Tigers ran rampage against the Bombers on Saturday and Browne was in the thick of the action as she kicked three majors to take her season tally to 11 while also earning her seventh best player nod from eight games.

Nathalie Tan (Tigers women)

Tan worked perfectly in tandem with Browne as she booted three goals and helped Toowoomba claim a resounding 101-0 win.

Rhianna Webb (Tigers women)

While Browne and Tan stole the headlines with their goal kicking ability, Webb continued her solid form as she kicked two goals for the second game in a row.
