Southern Suburbs Tigers took a big step toward playing finals footy at the weekend.
At home to Wattles the under-19 side claimed a vital 36-12 win on Saturday.
Tigers now sit in fourth placed with 14 points, three points ahead of Wattles, and four points ahead of Highfields Eagles who lost at the weekend.
Unfortunately for the Tigers players they will now have to sit back and watch how the competition plays out.
The Toowoomba side have byes over the next two rounds before a game against Wattles again in the last round of the regular season.
Lucas Paynter and Darnell Blades both scored doubles in Tigers seven tries to three win.
