A child has been left with neck and chest injuries after a crash in Hervey Bay on Thursday night.

The two-vehicle crash was reported on Beach Road and Boat Harbour Drive at 6.37pm.

Paramedics transported a primary school aged girl with chest and neck injuries and a man in his 20s with arm injuries. Both were taken stable to Hervey Bay Hospital.

That followed a three-vehicle crash on the Bruce Highway about 20km north of Gin Gin on Thursday afternoon.

It involved two trucks and a car, with emergency crews called out about 12.15pm to the scene near its intersection with Duckpond Rd.

The southbound lane was blocked by the two trucks and police closed the northbound lane while emergency crews worked at the scene.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokeswoman said paramedics treated six people, all in stable conditions.

She said four were taken to Bundaberg Hospital while two others declined transport.

Two of the injured people were a man and woman aged in their 70s.
