Nail technician Regan Cookson from Best Face Forward Beauty has been voted the best on the Fraser Coast in 2024 by Chronicle readers.
Ms Cookson, 20, won the poll with 20 percent of the vote and she said it was an unexpected win.
“I wouldn’t be here without the love and support of my clients, friends and family,” she said.
“I’m very grateful and thankful to all my supporters and those who took their time to vote for us.”
“My clients are the reason why I’m where I am.”
Congratulations to all of our winners, and all techs who were nominated by their obviously satisfied customers.
Brittnee Haddy from the Sassy Minx Nail Salon at Eli Waters came in second, with 15 percent of the vote, and Barbara Butcher from the Addicted to B team came third with 7 percent of the vote.
Ms Cookson said she got her job with BFF Beauty after completing her studies.
“I did my Certificate 3 in nail technology, Certificate 3 in beauty and a diploma in beauty at the Hervey Bay Tafe in 2022, and I got a job here,” she said.
“I’m a very creative person and my creativity is unleashed in making nails. I love nails and I do them every day.”
Ms Cookson said she loved her job and is also the manager at BFF Beauty nail salon.
“I just want to pursue what I’m doing, I want to look after my clients, staff and I want to see them all thrive.”
