Bar Olo
Clubby mid-century cocktail den.

Until recently, this was a modest Lebanese bakery. Now, caramel wood lines the walls and bartenders work in tandem behind the bar. Olo is swimming with good energy, unsurprising given the ownership (Anthony Scutella and Alison Foley of longstanding Scopri). It’s the type of place where the staff and the short, snack heavy menu can keep you engaged for hours.
You might stop in for a Barolo Sour, an Italian take on the pisco sour served long, and be tempted by an array of antipasti. There’s also rosy vitello tonnato, agnolotti del plin, and prawn tramezzino: the perfect two-bite sandwich. The cocktail list is strong, and the wine selection includes plenty of Italian gems.
In some ways, Bar Olo is a victim of its own quality. Much like Scopri, getting a seat is tough unless you’ve booked in advance.
