MERCURE MELBOURNE DONCASTER

The new hotel next to Westfield Doncaster made headlines when it was revealed it would be built above a Bunnings Warehouse, in a dream come true for fans of the hardware store.

According to hospitality company Accor, the new hotel, which recently opened its doors, has 183 contemporary styled guest rooms and suites, six fully equipped function spaces and outdoor terraces.

Guests can relax at the indoor/outdoor swimming pool, visit the gym or dine at a nearby restaurant.

HYATT PLACE MELBOURNE AT CARIBBEAN PARK SCORESBY

The $75 million hotel opened at Caribbean Park in Scoresby last month, the latest addition to the growing “micro-city” business precinct in Melbourne’s outer east.

The Hyatt Place Melbourne Caribbean Park hotel, featuring 171 guestrooms, restaurant, bar and meeting spaces, is expected to appeal to interstate business travellers, those looking for a staycation close to home, and visitors heading to the Yarra Valley and Dandenongs.

Visitors to the hotel can also pop next door to the iconic Caribbean Rollerama for a skate or swing by the new 2.0 Vintage Market, on the former Caribbean Market site.

SAGE HOTEL RINGWOOD

The five-storey Sage Hotel, which rises above Eastland, opened in 2017 and boasts 120 rooms, a 95-seat restaurant, bar, boardroom, function room and co-working space for 80 people.

PARKROYAL MONASH MELBOURNE

PARKROYAL Monash Melbourne has opened in Clayton.

The 4.5 star hotel, near the $800m M City Complex in Clayton, opened its doors last year.

According to the Pan Pacific Hotels Group, the full-service regional hotel features 250 rooms and suites, along with a restaurant and bar.

The property adjoins the M City Complex’s swimming pool, surrounded by landscaped gardens, a 24-hour fitness centre and pilates studio.

THE CHEN

The Chen Hotel, Box Hill.

The 100-room boutique hotel, on Whitehorse Rd, opened in 2017 and features art works from Chinese-born Australian abstract artist Zhong Chen, art libraries and an arts TV channel, along with a rooftop pool.

QUEST HOTEL BURWOOD EAST

Quest opened its Burwood Highway hotel in 2019, and made headlines last year when it introduced pet-friendly rooms.

Owners transformed 15 of its 91 rooms into pet-friendly accommodation, allowing guests to bring their four-legged friends along for their stay.

HOTEL CHADSTONE

The $130 million, 12-storey hotel at the Fashion Capital opened in 2019 and includes a rooftop pool and wellness centre.

Shopaholics are in luck, with the hotel connected to the Chadstone retail, dining and entertainment precinct.

THE SEBEL RINGWOOD

The $30 million hotel opened in 2021, with guests able to order their own charcuterie boards and wine to take up to their rooms.

The hotel boasts 103 rooms and apartments, including pillow top beds, skincare products and espresso machines.
