Melbourne’s only luxury five-star hotel outside the CBD at Chadstone is set to officially open on November 1.
This is the first look inside the $130 million, 12-storey hotel’s rooftop pool and wellness centre with magnificent sweeping views to the city skyline.
Connected to the Chadstone retail, dining and entertainment precinct, the new hotel will include 250 rooms, suites and penthouses, two leading restaurants and a rooftop conservatory bar.
Chadstone director Fiona Mackenize says sustainability has been a core focus with Hotel Chadstone Melbourne being the first Australian hotel to target a 5 Star Green Star rating by the Green Building Council of Australia.
“This five-star hotel is a key element in our masterplan and will further cement Chadstone as an internationally recognised lifestyle, entertainment and tourism destination,” she says.
“The luxury hotel will feature two leading restaurants including Scott Pickett’s Pastore, and rooftop dining, lounge and bar Altus where guests can enjoy panoramic views from Port Phillip Bay to the CBD and across the Dandenong Ranges.”
Ms Mackenzie says she anticipates Hotel Chadstone will attract guests travelling for business and leisure across Victoria and around Australia.
“We anticipate a large response from international travellers, with over half a million international guests visiting Chadstone each year. We also expect strong bookings in the hotel’s weddings, conference and events spaces,” she says.
“Chadstone’s onsite offices are home to more than 17 international and national businesses and with Monash University and Monash Medical Centre close by, Hotel Chadstone sits in a major metropolitan centre in southeastern Melbourne’s business education, science, health and retail districts with 75,000 workers.”
She says guests can expect sumptuous rooms with a splash of blush or a wash of teal featuring commissioned furniture inspired by trunks from luxury European fashion houses complete with leather detailing, custom lighting and individually crafted bespoke seating.

The hotel, situated on Princes Highway between Chadstone and the commercial office tower, will have ongoing collaborations with the retail and dining precincts.
“We currently have more than 200 specialist craftspeople and trades working around the clock to put the finishing touches on the hotel and we are looking forward to our first guests checking in on Friday November 1,” Ms Mackenzie says.
