Popular Mexican fast food chain Guzman y Gomez continues to expand across Victoria, with five new restaurants on the way in the next six months.
Described as “one of the world’s fastest-growing fast food companies” Guzman y Gomez celebrated the opening of its newest restaurant, GYG Elsternwick, on Glen Huntly Rd this week.
GYG Elsternwick is the 26th Victorian restaurant for the chain, with continued growth planned for Victoria.
“Victoria continues to be a key market for us, we are set to open five new restaurants across the state over the next six months,” a spokesperson said.
Next up is GYG Leopold in Geelong and GYG Moonee Ponds in July.
There are also plans for a GYG in Ballarat.
The chain opened a Melton Drive Thru store earlier this year, and added stores in Campbellfield Plaza and North Melbourne last year. It also opened at an old Red Rooster on Warrigal Rd Chadstone and on Maroondah Highway in Croydon.
The Elsternwick store served up more than 3800 $5 Burritos and Bowls during its opening day special.
GYG Elsternwick will be serving up brekkie, lunch and dinner daily from 7am – 10pm.
The new store is at 2/233 Glen Huntly Rd, Elsternwick.
