Popular charcoal chicken chain El Jannah is opening four new stores in Melbourne.

The Sydney export, known for its crunchy-skinned chickens and tangy garlic sauce, will open new stores in Mitcham, Kensington, Pakenham and Bayswater North this year.

It will be the first time chicken lovers in the east can get their hands of the tasty chooks, with the existing Melbourne El Jannah stores in Preston (drive-through), Campbellfield, Craigieburn and Broadmeadows.

The Mitcham store in Whitehorse Rd will be the first to open its doors on June 24, with the rest of the outlets to open in the coming months.

El Jannah chief executive Brett Houldin said he was excited to open in Mitcham, and believed it was a terrific market opportunity for the brand to move into new areas of Melbourne.

“Customers will be met with the best products and friendliest service. We pride ourselves on the most delicious chicken and garlic sauce that’s always fresh, healthy, and abundant, in meals for everyone,” Mr Houldin said.

The first El Jannah store opened in Granville in west Sydney in 1998.

Customers can enjoy crunchy-skinned, smoke-perfumed charcoal chickens, chicken salted chips, and Lebanese sides, including a silken hummus and tangy garlic sauce.
