A new era will dawn when the Brisbane Hockey Association junior and senior grand finals are livestreamed from tomorrow, Friday, at www.couriermail.com
The first of the streaming events will see the junior girls turf division finals beamed live across the News platforms from the State Hockey Centre from 6.15pm on Friday.
Then on Monday, September 21, Masters finals will be decided at the State Hockey Centre followed by livestreaming of junior boys finals on September 18 and September 25 from Burringbar Park, Chermside.
In addition, women’s senior finals will be covered on September 26 followed by senior men’s finals on October 10 and 17 and then the grand finals on October 24.

Kathleen Proctor, BWHA General Manager, said the livestreaming arrangement with The Courier-Mail would provide “a platform to showcase our sport’’.
“Hockey as a sport is known for its gender equality, particularly in Australia, with both male and female teams competing at the highest level,’’ Proctor said.
“Hockey is always popular during the Olympic cycle and after other major events, for example the Commonwealth Games, but struggles to get main stream weekly support.
