Stella Harris continues to notch up milestones in her representative hockey career

Stella Harris has continued to tick off representative milestones following her selection in the Queensland under 18 hockey team. The daughter of Wests Bulldogs rugby champion Scott Harris maintains a proud sporting tradition in the family.

They may not play rugby, but the competitive streak of the Harris’ sisters on the hockey field shines through much to the satisfaction of their dad, Scott Harris.

Harris, an outstanding union backrower during his rugby heyday for a powerhouse Wests Bulldogs club, spends much of his weekend watching his three daughters, Ruby, Stella and Lola, play hockey.

“Dad always wanted at least one boy so he could watch them play rugby or some aggressive sport,’’ Stella said.

“He wasn’t too lucky there, so having to adapt to three girls, I think hockey fits perfectly with dad.’’
