Cuts already confirmed by government
Ski jump facility:
Sports Minister Steve Dickson on June 17 said he had stepped in to stop a planned $6.1 million winter Olympic ski jump training facility from being built at Brisbane’s Sleeman Sports Complex. Mr Dickson said although the state government was only required to contribute $2.6 million to build the facility, with the rest from the federal government, the state would have been responsible for all ongoing management and maintenance costs.
Rumoured cuts
Parks and wildlife employees:
Date: July 19
Information: Claims the government had already cut 100 jobs from the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and was planning to reduce the number of QPWS regions from nine to six.

Response: A spokeswoman for National Parks Minister Steve Dickson said some contracts had not been renewed but declined to say how many, AAP reported.
