Unions have invoked the Reserve Bank’s rate rise to push for an end to public sector wage caps, as thousands of teachers in NSW walked off the job for higher pay.
More than 15,000 teachers rallied in Sydney’s Macquarie Street on Wednesday in their second statewide strike in six months to bring pressure on the Perrottet government to scrap its 2.5 per cent wage cap.
