Ideas being discussed after the Jobs and Skills Summit include the Fair Work Commission drafting flexible standard agreements for small business, calculating all-in pay rates for specific rosters and pre-approving agreements before they are put to a vote.

Workplace Relations Minister Tony Burke last week said the government had support to take immediate action to empower the FWC to “proactively” help workers and businesses reach agreements, particularly new entrants and small-to-medium businesses.
