Bosses blast union productivity comments as ‘a distraction’

Employers have blasted union assertions that poor managers are to blame for dragging down the country’s productivity to record lows, calling it a distraction aimed at avoiding simplifying a complex workplace system.

The ACTU will seek to make management a key focus at the Albanese government’s productivity roundtable next month, as it accused the Productivity Commission of largely ignoring a problem it says was sapping employees’ motivations and devaluing workforce collaboration.
