'Old school' executive power disrupted by virtual work

Executives are struggling to extend their influence into the virtual work space while employees are finding remote collaboration more mentally taxing than in the office, a leading workplace expert says.

Sean Gallagher, director of the Centre for the New Workforce at Swinburne University, told The Australian Financial Review's Future Briefing event on Tuesday that productivity had at least stabilised or not improved for the third of the workforce working from home during the pandemic.
