‘Not much to celebrate’ as gender pay gap narrows slightly

The national gender pay gap narrowed by $6 a week compared to six months ago, but men still earn $255 a week more than women, the latest data shows.

Women working full-time earned on average $1591.20 a week, while male full-time workers were paid $1846.50, according to the federal government’s Workplace Gender Equality Agency.
